Chips, Crisps, and Cuttlefish: My Funniest Food Fails While Travelling.

I know there are bloggers out there who specialise in the subject … but I suffer enough from imposter syndrome in so many areas, I’m not wanting to add food blogger to the mix. I think after reading this post you will think there is not much chance of that!
The good the bad and the silence … a music post.

I’m not sure if it’s because I am an old man now, but there is nothing I like better than a quiet place to eat and or drink.
Rookie full time travel mistake – the wrong train from Romania.

Do I get on it or not? A split second decision. I shouted, “Bulgaria, Bulgaria” to the station manager as I was trying to make sense of it, but she just smiled and ushered me to get on … so I did.
I don’t need to do the tourist stuff – being a full-time traveller in small town Romania.

I thought I would write a piece about how my life as a traveller differs from that of a tourist. Tea, trains and torrential rain, my time in Chișinău, Moldova.

On arrival at Chisinau it was like a scene out of a horror movie with the dark skies illuminated by lightning flashes and then the clap of thunder not far behind. As I slowly made my way outside I could see pools of water where a carpark should be …
A trip within and out of Iași – Romania’s second city.

With trees, trams and a quirky train … what is there not to like about Iași.
Making the best of it – a walk in Bacau, Romania

I know many people go to places because it’s on a bucket list or has a “must visit” reputation. My journey is about travelling around the world and trying to enjoy wherever I am and some times that can be challenging.
My latest challenge was Bacau, Romania.
